    The Central Highlands region of Vietnam, which includes provinces like Gia Lai, Đắk Lắk, Đắk Nông, Kon Tum, and Lâm Đồng, is becoming a significant hub for wind power development due to its favorable wind conditions. Here’s an overview of the wind power development in this region:

    1. Đắk Lắk Province:
      • Ea Nam Wind Power Project: This is one of the largest wind farms in Vietnam, with a total capacity of 400 MW. It is located in Ea H’leo District and developed by Trungnam Group(Power Technology
        )(Trungnam Group). The project contributes over 1.1 billion kWh of clean electricity annually.
      • AMI AC Đắk Lắk Wind Power: This project includes two phases with a combined capacity of 203 MW and is located in Cư M’gar district​(Global Energy Monitor).
    2. Đắk Nông Province:
      • Dak N’Drung 1, 2, 3 Wind Farms: These projects are operated by Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd., with a total capacity of 300 MW​(PPL

      • Nam Binh and Dak Hoa Projects: These 80 MW wind farms in Đắk Song district were connected to the grid in 2021​(Vietreader).
    3. Gia Lai Province:
      • Hung Hai Gia Lai Wind Power Plant: A 96 MW plant that started commercial operation in 2023, developed by Hung Hai Group(Power Technology).
      • HBRE Chu Prong Wind Farm: This 50 MW project was the first wind farm in Gia Lai and is operated by Super Energy Corporation​(ATS JSC).
      • Ia Bang Wind Farm: A 50 MW project managed by Gia Lai Electricity JSC​(Global Energy Monitor).
      • Ia Le 1 Wind Power Plant: A 100 MW project expected to produce over 320 GWh annually​(Vietnam Energy Online).
