    Project Title:
    NKS Wetland Water and Ecological Village Project

    Objective:
    The project aims to protect the biodiversity of the NKS Wetland in Vientiane, Laos, promote sustainable community development, and prepare the NKS Wetland for nomination as an ASEAN Heritage Park. Through wetland restoration, eco-tourism development, community engagement, and education, the project seeks to foster environmental conservation and stimulate local economic growth.

    Key Activities:

    1. Wetland Restoration and Biodiversity Assessment – Restoration of ecosystems and biodiversity monitoring using the METT tool.
    2. Community Capacity Building and Education – Providing training and education on sustainable resource management.
    3. Eco-tourism Development – Developing eco-tourism infrastructure and planning community-based tourism programs.
    4. Environmental Education and Awareness Raising – Organizing educational activities on environmental protection and sustainability for local residents and visitors.
