For Cooperation on the SEMS-Based Smart Energy System,
Fish & Microalgae Research Platform,
and ASEAN University Collaboration through AETA 2025This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is made among the following institutions:

Ton Duc Thang University – Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (TDTU–FEEE) – Vietnam

Korea Electric Power Corporation – Korea Electric Power Research Institute (KEPCO–KEPRI) – Republic of Korea
-
SEE Co., Ltd. (SEE) – Republic of Korea
-
C&T – Vietnam
-
Research Institute for Technology Applications and Business (RITAB) – Vietnam
-
AnyFive Co., Ltd. (AnyFive) – Republic of Korea
(Hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Parties”.)
1. Purpose
The purpose of this MOU is to establish a cooperative framework for:

The joint development and implementation of the SEMS (Smart Energy Management System) integrating solar PV, AI-based cooling, IoT monitoring, and data-driven optimization.
-
The construction and operation of fish farming and microalgae pilot systems at TDTU–FEEE to support AI-driven research on energy–environment–biological integration.
-
Academic and technical collaboration with ASEAN universities participating in AETA 2025, including joint research programs, data-sharing, and researcher mobility.
-
The establishment of a sustainable cooperation ecosystem for Smart Energy, Smart Aquaculture, and ESG/Carbon data research and application.
2. Scope of Cooperation
The Parties agree to collaborate in the following areas:
2.1 SEMS Development and Technical Collaboration
-
Joint planning, construction, and operation of SEMS testbeds led by TDTU–FEEE.
-
Power quality diagnosis and ESS/PV integration advisory by KEPCO–KEPRI.
-
AI-driven cooling and energy efficiency algorithms supplied by SEE.
-
Field demonstration sites, industrial collaboration, and regional deployment supported by C&T.
-
Technology transfer framework, data governance, and ESG/Carbon certification structure provided by AnyFive.
-
Coordination of cooperation activities, networking, and field-level support provided by RITAB.
2.2 TDTU–FEEE Pilot System Construction
-
Installation of fish farming and microalgae cultivation pilot systems.
-
Integration of energy, environmental, and biological datasets into SEMS.
-
Long-term data collection for AI predictive modeling and optimization.
2.3 ASEAN University Cooperation (AETA 2025 Framework)
-
Joint research activities with ASEAN universities participating in AETA 2025.
-
Student and faculty exchange, joint supervision, and academic capacity building.
-
Data sharing and co-publication in Smart Energy, Aquaculture, Microalgae, Power Systems, and ESG.
-
Formation of an ASEAN SEMS Academic Collaboration Network coordinated through TDTU–FEEE and the Parties.
3. Roles and Responsibilities of the Parties
TDTU – Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE)
-
Lead institution for SEMS development and pilot system operation.
-
Provide laboratory infrastructure, academic support, and coordination with ASEAN partners.
KEPCO–KEPRI
-
Provide expertise in power quality diagnostics (PF, THD) and system stability.
-
Support ESS/PV integration analysis and SEMS performance evaluation.
SEE Co., Ltd.
-
Provide AI-based cooling optimization technology.
-
Supply energy efficiency algorithms and technical integration support.
C&T
-
Provide field demonstration sites for SEMS application.
-
Facilitate industrial collaboration with local enterprises.
-
Support regional deployment and commercialization of SEMS-related technologies.
Research Institute for Technology Applications and Business (RITAB)
-
Facilitate Korea–Vietnam cooperation and partnership development.
-
Support coordination with government agencies, universities, and industry partners.
-
Assist in field operation, project documentation, and collaborative programs.
AnyFive Co., Ltd.
-
Provide platforms for technology transfer and data management.
-
Develop ESG and carbon data standardization and certification frameworks.
-
Support commercialization pathways based on SEMS research outcomes.
4. ASEAN Cooperation Framework
The Parties agree to cooperate with ASEAN universities participating in AETA 2025 to:

Conduct collaborative research on Smart Energy, Smart Aquaculture, Microalgae, and ESG/Carbon systems.

Share data and publish joint academic papers.
-
Promote student and faculty mobility programs.
-
Develop multi-campus SEMS demonstration models.
-
Enhance visibility and collaborative opportunities through AETA 2025 and future academic events.
5. Nature of Agreement
This MOU is non-binding and expresses the Parties’ mutual intention to collaborate in good faith.
Specific technical, financial, or contractual commitments will be defined in separate agreements as needed.
6. Duration
This MOU becomes effective on the date of signature and will remain in effect for three (3) years, subject to renewal upon mutual consent.
